Team
Small, technical, and close to the work.
LucidMaze is a compact remote team. There is no layer between the people who decide what to build and the people who build it, because at this size there is no room for one.
We run several products with a team far smaller than that usually implies. That is possible because the portfolio shares its foundations: one network, one deployment pattern, one set of conventions. A person who learns how one venture is built can work on any of them.
It also forces a certain honesty about scope. With this many products and this few people, anything built has to be something we are prepared to maintain for years. Features that would need a team we do not have simply do not get started.
Disciplines
Product engineering
Backend and frontend as one job rather than two. The person who designs an API is usually the person who consumes it, which removes an entire category of argument.
Infrastructure
The network, the hosts, the deploys and the monitoring behind every venture. Self-hosted by choice, on hardware and tunnels we control end to end.
Applied AI
Agent design, evaluation and the guardrails around both. Less about models than about what happens when one is wrong and still has to be safe.
Operations
Billing that reconciles, payouts that clear, support that answers. The part of a product that only exists after it is live.

We hire rarely and carefully, and we would rather hear from you before a role exists than after it closes.
